Exit Ate Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
Visiting down near Exit Ate, such a cute name, we were looking for a bite to eat. This was delicious! The best chili I have ever had! The staff was so nice.
We were in the area from out of town and stopped in for a sandwich on the way to the highway. We each ordered something different, but both got the same thing. We didn't bother saying anything because we didn't really care and didn't want to wait. People are human and they make mistakes. When we were almost finished eating the server noticed the error, and said something, but I made light of it and said not to worry. Before we left she came out with the correct order in to go box at no charge. Plus she gave us a bag of ice to keep it cold on our drive. That was really nice of her and it deserves to earn them a 5-star review. The reubens we got were delicious.
Traditional American dinner off the highway. There's a couple picnic table. The food is ok. Great customer service and warm welcome. They got classic tasty pies and sell Vermont maple syrup. It's worth the stop!
I was so incredibly hopeful for this place. I had a beautiful breakfast date with my mom. I ordered the strawberry stuffed French toast. I almost sne it back the second it was placed in front of me. It had very very little "filling" there was an incredibly small dollop. The strawberrys were not mixed with the filling either which threw me off. They were just on top and there was sooooo many too. I guess for certain people they may love that. I however did not enjoy this dish at all. My mom absolutely loved hers though!!! I'm hoping if I try this place again they do a much better job. Oh and our waitress was so incredible and she was super quick!
Under New Ownership: We went here, for the first time, this morning. The food was amazing. The owner/cook came out, checked in with people and poured coffee. The photo is of my husband’s breakfast- Fat Jack’s Special. We will definitely be going back.
First time eating here and I will definitely be back! Food was more delicious than what the pictures actually show, and our server Danielle was prompt, very efficient, and super friendly. Highly recommend for a great meal.
The best place to eat, hands down! we come every chance we get! We've had breakfast and lunch and both delicious. Waitresses are friendly. If your in the area you need to try here.

Upon entering, you'll feel the warm welcome from the staff, who are dedicated to ensuring you have a memorable dining experience.
One of the standout features of Exit Ate is its commitment to comfort food that resonates with traditional American dining. Customers rave about the delicious chili and the mouthwatering reubens, showcasing the kitchen's ability to elevate simple dishes into memorable meals. As noted by visitors like Nina Benoit, the restaurant’s chili is considered “the best” she has ever tasted, highlighting the depth of flavor that can make a meal unforgettable.
